Introduction

This Image management system manages medical images from equipments such as radiology, microscopes, and endoscope. The images can be captured directly by linking with these systems using video cables. Direct image capture is done using an image-grabbing card. Both video and still images can be captured. The image capture facility is available using composite video, s-video, HDMI, and USB cables. The images can be imported from any media such as hard disks and flash drives. The images can also be taken from DICOM modalities.

The images can be captured from endoscopes, Colour Doppler, Echocardiography, Ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, C-ARMs, and Microscope cameras.

The IMS consists of mainly four parts.

  • Patient data management
The user feeds the patient demographic data and selects the procedure from a master test list. A master test list of proceduresis provided. This list can be changed as per requirements.
  • Capture video and still images
The images can be captured using composite videos, RCA, S-video, USB, HDMI, DICOM, or any other media. The images are managed patient wise. The patient data along along with images is organized, to make it easier for users to view, distribute, and track digital and analog images and videos. A iamge editor is provided for annotation and editing of images.

  • Keep patient procedures and reporting
It provides a standard template for all reports. The user can select the template for reporting. The reports can be printed with or withour images. The user can select the number of images for printing. The format of images printing can be selected as columns and rows for all pages.
  • Summary reports for the period from patient data
Summaries of collection of amount with procedure.
