Introduction
Biomedical Waste Management System (BMWS) helps in the management of biomedical waste (BMW). It can be used by medical establishments such as Hospitals, clinics, medical testing laboratories such as Pathology, Blood Bank, Microbiology and other diagnostic laboratories. These establishments generate significant amounts of medical waste in various categories. The record-keeping of category-wise waste generated and disposal is mandatory as per the regulations of biomedical waste (BMW) management rules, 1998 in India.
